Nicole Collins offers warm and compassionate counselling for adults experiencing anxiety, stress, overwhelm, relationship difficulties and the lasting impact of difficult life experiences.
Many of the people Nicole works with understand why they struggle but still feel stuck in familiar patterns such as people-pleasing, overthinking, low self-worth or constantly putting other people’s needs before their own.
Her approach is person-centred, trauma-informed and nervous-system aware. She integrates mindfulness, embodied approaches and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) alongside the therapeutic relationship, helping clients explore not only their thoughts and emotions but also the messages and responses held within the body.
Together, therapy can gently explore the patterns that may have developed through relationships, difficult experiences or ways of coping that were once helpful but may no longer be serving you in the same way.
Nicole approaches this process with curiosity rather than judgement. Her aim is to help you feel safer within yourself, develop greater self-understanding and learn practical tools that can support emotional regulation in everyday life.
Therapy is collaborative and paced around you. Rather than rushing change, Nicole aims to provide a steady and compassionate space where meaningful and lasting change can develop at a pace that feels right for you.
Nicole offers a warm and compassionate space where you can explore what is happening without feeling judged or pressured to change before you are ready.
You may already understand why you feel anxious, overwhelmed or stuck, yet find that understanding alone has not changed the pattern. Therapy can provide an opportunity to explore what happens not only in your thoughts, but also emotionally and within your body.
Nicole works from a Person-Centred, trauma-informed and nervous-system aware perspective. Depending on what feels helpful, sessions may incorporate mindfulness, breathwork, embodied awareness, meditation or EFT-informed techniques alongside talking therapy.
Together, you may explore patterns such as people-pleasing, overthinking, low self-worth, putting others’ needs before your own or feeling responsible for keeping everything together.
The aim is not to criticise these patterns but to understand how and why they developed. From there, therapy can support you in developing greater self-compassion, emotional regulation and new ways of responding that feel safer and more sustainable.
Nicole’s aim is to help you feel more connected to yourself, more able to recognise and respond to your own needs, and better equipped with practical tools to create meaningful and lasting change at a pace that feels right for you.
