About the Therapist

Damien Melhem is a BACP Registered Person-Centred and Existential Psychotherapist who offers a flexible and inclusive approach to counselling. He integrates elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, and EMDR-informed work according to each client’s individual needs.

Damien specialises in anxiety, depression, trauma, traumatic loss, bereavement, complex grief, family conflict, relationship difficulties, identity questions, emotional wounds, life transitions, and existential crises. He understands that each person brings a different history, culture, set of relationships, and way of making sense of their experiences.

His work is grounded in respect for the client’s inner wisdom and capacity for growth. Rather than imposing a fixed method, Damien works collaboratively to help clients understand their experiences, process difficult emotions, and develop a more compassionate and meaningful relationship with themselves.
