About the Therapist

I’m Carol, a psychotherapist using a CBT approach. I work with adults who feel overwhelmed, caught in their thoughts or unsure how to move forward.

People often come to me when life feels overwhelming, when anxiety, past experiences or long-standing patterns begin to take up too much space. My role is to help you make sense of what’s happening inside you and find steadier, more compassionate ways of coping.

My background includes supporting people in community settings, charities and associate roles, as well as delivering high-intensity CBT within NHS stepped-care pathways. This has shaped the way I work: calm, thoughtful and attuned to the layers beneath someone’s symptoms or struggles.

I support clients with anxiety, trauma, OCD, ADHD, depression, stress, low mood, ARFID, perinatal challenges and varied clinical presentations.

Therapy with me is steady, collaborative and paced in a way that feels manageable and safe. Together, we can explore what is keeping you stuck, understand patterns in thoughts, emotions and behaviours, and develop practical ways of moving forward.

What to Expect

Therapy with Carol is calm, structured and collaborative.

You do not need to arrive with everything figured out. Sessions can begin by making sense of what feels overwhelming, confusing or difficult to change. Together, you and Carol can explore the patterns in your thoughts, emotions and behaviours and understand how they may be affecting your wellbeing.

Depending on your needs, therapy may involve behavioural activation, cognitive restructuring, exposure-based work, coping strategies, psychoeducation or specific CBT techniques for difficulties such as anxiety, depression or OCD.

Carol works at a pace that feels manageable and safe, with regular reviews to make sure therapy remains useful and focused on what matters most to you.

Her approach is compassionate and culturally informed, recognising that identity, background, relationships, previous experiences and current life circumstances can all shape how distress is experienced.
