Candace Cross is a trauma-informed counsellor who offers a warm, empathetic, and collaborative space for adults experiencing difficult emotions, trauma-related concerns, grief, bereavement, and loss.
Her core approach is person-centred, placing the client’s experiences, needs, and pace at the centre of therapy. Where appropriate, she can also draw on CBT-informed, pluralistic, and integrative approaches to help clients explore their difficulties and develop ways of coping that feel personally meaningful.
Candace has experience providing trauma-informed counselling and several years of bereavement support. She understands that grief and trauma can affect people emotionally, psychologically, relationally, and physically, and aims to create a safe environment where difficult experiences can be explored without judgement.
Candace offers a warm and non-judgemental therapeutic space where clients can talk openly about trauma, grief, bereavement, loss, and other difficult emotional experiences.
Her person-centred approach means that therapy follows the client’s needs and pace rather than imposing a rigid structure. Where helpful, Candace may also incorporate CBT-informed or integrative therapeutic techniques to support greater understanding and emotional wellbeing.
Sessions may help clients process difficult experiences, make sense of painful emotions, explore the impact of loss or trauma, and gradually find ways of coping that feel more manageable and personally meaningful.
