About the Therapist
Life can be challenging and difficult to navigate at times. We can find ourselves feeling lost, stuck or overwhelmed by our troubles and unsure of how to make sense of our feelings or find a way forward.
Seeking professional support through counselling can really help, providing the space and opportunity to gain insight and clarity around what you are experiencing while supporting growth, self-awareness and therapeutic change.
Caroline Withrington is a fully qualified and experienced Integrative Counsellor and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Her therapeutic approach is underpinned by the Person-Centred model, which means keeping you at the heart of the therapeutic process. Caroline recognises that everyone is different and that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all experience.
For this reason, she works integratively and can draw on different therapeutic ideas and approaches according to what feels most helpful for you.
This allows therapy to remain flexible and responsive to your individual needs. Together, you can explore what may be happening emotionally, develop greater understanding of yourself and begin discovering ways of moving forward that feel meaningful and achievable.
Caroline offers a warm, empathic and supportive therapeutic relationship where you can explore difficult experiences without judgement and at your own pace.

What to Expect
Caroline offers a warm, empathic and collaborative therapeutic space where you do not need to arrive knowing exactly what is wrong or what you want to change.
Therapy can begin simply by talking about what has been happening and giving yourself space away from the demands of everyday life to understand your thoughts, emotions and experiences more clearly.
Caroline’s Person-Centred foundation means that your experiences, needs and priorities remain at the heart of the work.
Because she works integratively, therapy can remain flexible rather than following one rigid model. Different therapeutic ideas may be introduced where they can help you understand what you are experiencing or approach a difficulty from another perspective.
Therapy may be shorter-term and focused around a particular issue, or longer-term where more space for exploration feels useful.
The aim is to help you develop greater insight, clarity and self-awareness while finding ways of moving forward that feel authentic and meaningful to you.
