About the Therapist

Julia Haras is an MBACP-registered, trauma-informed Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor who works from a pluralistic perspective. This means that rather than expecting every client to fit one therapeutic model, she draws on different approaches according to each person’s experiences, needs, goals, relationships, and individual way of understanding themselves.

Julia has particular experience supporting anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement and loss, identity concerns, attachment difficulties, relationship and relational problems, health anxiety, and workplace stress. Her work also includes crisis-aware counselling, safeguarding, mental health assessment, and supporting clients presenting with self-harm or suicidal thoughts within appropriate risk-management frameworks.

Her integrative approach can draw on person-centred therapy, psychodynamic therapy, attachment-based work, systemic approaches, CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, DBT-informed techniques, existential approaches, and trauma-informed somatic work. Psychoeducation and practical coping strategies may also be incorporated where helpful.

Julia can support adults experiencing anxiety, depression, health anxiety, trauma, complex trauma, bereavement, loss, attachment difficulties, relationship concerns, identity issues, workplace stress, emotional overwhelm, and wider psychological difficulties. The therapeutic approach and goals are regularly reviewed collaboratively to ensure the work remains useful and relevant.
