Emma Holmes is a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor and MBACP registered member with experience supporting adults, children, and young people from diverse backgrounds. Her approach is grounded in empathy, acceptance, and respect, helping clients feel safe enough to explore difficult emotions and experiences in a supportive, non-judgemental space.
Emma has particular experience working with neurodivergent individuals, people affected by complex trauma and suicide bereavement, LGBTQ+ clients, ethnic minority communities, and veterans. She works relationally and ethically, with strong awareness of safeguarding, risk assessment, and the importance of tailoring support to each person’s needs, identity, and lived experience.
Emma offers a warm, safe, and respectful space where clients can explore painful or complex experiences at a pace that feels manageable. Her work is grounded in person-centred values, helping clients feel genuinely heard and supported while making room for grief, trauma, identity, and emotional difficulty.
Sessions may support adults, children, or young people dealing with bereavement, trauma, anxiety, depression, neurodivergence-related challenges, or wider emotional wellbeing concerns. Her aim is to help clients build understanding, resilience, and a stronger sense of emotional safety in a therapeutic relationship based on trust and care.
